Mini Book Reviews: Stars and Sorcery BOTM (Jan-Jun 2020) - Novels and Nebulas

Mini Book Reviews: Stars and Sorcery BOTM (Jan-Jun 2020)

This might be an unpopular opinion but I love reading and writing reviews quite a lot. Even though they don’t get as many views as other types of posts, I write them to share my thoughts and hopefully convince people to pick them up if I liked them. I run a monthly book club on Twitter called Stars and Sorcery, which focuses on reading sci-fi and fantasy books by authors of colour. Most of the books chosen as the Book of the Month (BOTM) for the club are backlist titles, so I don’t get to highlight them as much on my blog. Today, I decided to write mini reviews for each of the BOTMs of Stars and Sorcery between Jan-Jun 2020.

Top 5 Asian SFF Authors Who Inspire Me

May is celebrated as Asian-American and Pacific Islander History Month in the United States and I decided to take this opportunity to talk about some of my favourite Asian authors. After joining social media, my reading habits changed for the better as I started picking up more books by Asian authors. As an Asian myself, I realised that I connect to these stories on a deeper level, which has truly changed my life. Today I wanted to shine the spotlight on some of the wonderful Asian SFF authors who I look up to. I have only included men and non-binary persons in this list as I already listed my 10 favourite Asian women authors for my International Women’s Day special blog post. With that preamble out of the way, let me introduce you to my favourites.

Top 7 Adult SFF Trilogies to Finish in 2020 - Reading List by Novels and Nebulas

Top 7 Adult SFF Trilogies to Finish in 2020

One of the sure signs of a bookworm is the unconquerable TBR and today I’m going to share some more books that are on mine. I recently talked about the middle grade books on my TBR and I had a lot of fun with it because sharing my TBR helps me stay accountable. So, I decided to extend that to others as well and in this post, I’ll be listing the adult SFF books on my TBR that I want to finish in 2020. I’ve divided the list into 3 parts – series that are concluding in 2020, series that I need to complete in 2020 and finished series that I haven’t started but want to read in 2020. If you want to get into this genre or you’re looking for more recommendations, I hope you will find this list helpful!
