The Poppy War Book Tag (Original) - Novels and Nebulas

The Poppy War Book Tag (Original)

This tag was created in collaboration with Vee @ Vanshika’s Books and Krisha @ Bookathon, who love this series just as much (if not more) than I do. Krisha and I are hosting a readalong for The Poppy War series in September and October, with an IG live scheduled with R. F. Kuang herself, so don’t forget to join us as we prepare ourselves for The Burning God coming out in November. We were thinking of fun ways to celebrate the series and hit upon the idea for a book tag, which Vee kindly accepted to work on together. We had the best time coming up with prompts, refining them, freaking out over the series and I’m so proud of how it has turned out. I really hope you enjoy the post and decide to do The Poppy War Book Tag on your bookish platforms too!

Mini Book Reviews: Stars and Sorcery BOTM (Jan-Jun 2020) - Novels and Nebulas

Mini Book Reviews: Stars and Sorcery BOTM (Jan-Jun 2020)

This might be an unpopular opinion but I love reading and writing reviews quite a lot. Even though they don’t get as many views as other types of posts, I write them to share my thoughts and hopefully convince people to pick them up if I liked them. I run a monthly book club on Twitter called Stars and Sorcery, which focuses on reading sci-fi and fantasy books by authors of colour. Most of the books chosen as the Book of the Month (BOTM) for the club are backlist titles, so I don’t get to highlight them as much on my blog. Today, I decided to write mini reviews for each of the BOTMs of Stars and Sorcery between Jan-Jun 2020.

Get to Know the Fantasy Reader Tag - Novels and Nebulas

Get to Know the Fantasy Reader Tag

Today is a special day for me and I stumbled upon the perfect blog post to showcase that. Bree Hill originally created this tag as the Get to Know the Romance Reader Tag, and Madi @ The Book Pusher adapted it for fantasy readers. I’ve played around with the order of questions, so check out this post by Sahi @ My World of Books for the original format. If you’ve read any of my blog posts, you would know that I’m a huge fan of fantasy books. I’ll be digging in a little deeper and talking about my fantasy origin story, favourite books and more, so let’s get started!
